Moorelands Camp has officially ended its 2024 season! We were so happy to host hundreds of campers for six weeks this summer at Kawagama lake.
It was another amazing year, with both new faces and returning friends diving into everything Moorelands has to offer. Campers from grades 3 through 8 enjoyed a wide range of activities, while our high school participants were engaged in our LEDGE and STEP programs. From swimming and kayaking to arts and crafts, high ropes, archery, and so much more, there was never a dull moment.
PROJECT DIVE!
This year we re-introduced project DIVE, an opportunity for exceptional campers to be invited to another week of camp because the children and youth went above and beyond with their leadership skills in their first week of camp. Campers were challenged to take their leadership to the next level with more difficulty added to their Moorelands Activity Picks (MAPs), taking on more responsibility and trying new things. In this highlighted week of camp we introduced MAPs that provided more skill development. In addition to our regular activities, campers were invited to select new MAPs like Skateboarding, Drama, Comic Book Making, Raft Building, Music and more! It was our second-ever project DIVE and we reflect with gratitude on the success of this program.

As the camp season comes to an end, we would like to thank you for participating in our Send a Kid to Camp (SAK) campaign. Every spot at camp is subsidized, with costs as low as $25 per child for a whole week. The SAK campaign helps make sure every kid, no matter their background, gets a chance to experience camp. With your help, we can send even more kids next year to make memories and enjoy all the fun Moorelands has to offer.
